3.15 A.D. Collection SS15

Nook’ /nuk/ Ancient Mayan word.
Def. Fabric, Apparel, Dress.
Brand with a urban and unisex style, with a youth and contemporaneous target. For this Project, I created from zero the brand concept, branding, garments design, prints design, fabrics selection, art direction of the lookbok and all kind of visualand graphic support to the brand.

Nook’ Urban was born from a life of references, journeys and love for ancient cultures, a childhood spent lost in museums, listening to stories about Pharaohs and the Egyptian Empire.
The differential value of this brand lies in the graphic design. Prints were created and inspired by ancient cultures and the knowledge they provided us. Knowledge about architecture, astrology, mathematics, the study of the cosmos, geometry, etc. Expressed through a new modern and abstract look.

Additionally, a wide selection of technical fabrics were use for the creation of the garments alongside a variety of techniques like cut and patching, digital embroidery, vinyl print and digital prints plus putting a lot of attention to the details and finishings.
Concept: The research of the relationship existing between ancient civilisations and ours. The human being and his concern for understanding the unknown.
Specifically, this first collection is inspired by two of the greatest civilisations which have common features; The great Ancient Egypt and The Mesoamerican civilisations, meaning the Aztecs, the Incas, but above all, The Mayans.
