Pop-Machina

•  Web design & Site Building

March - August 2023

Pop-Machina is an EU Funding project that aims to highlight the importance of the makers movement and circular economy to transition to a more sustainble soci-economic system in European cities.

For this international project I had the chance to work on a complete redesign of the new website of Pop-Machina. Working with different entities along Europe to understand and perfectly visualise their work.

The challenge:
When I started the project, the Pop-Machina team had already designed a classic Wordpress site. The challenge was to take all the content that had been posted over 5 years and create a more interactive, intuitive and modern site.
There were some inconsistent workflows and difficulties for the user to understand the project. As well as an outdated overview and structure.

The result:
To maintain the visual identity and content consistency, a new structure was designed and implemented using the Divi builder.

This included integrating new graphic elements and organising content into bespoke layouts for individual landings.

Improvements were made by optimising images and streamlining navigation to enhance user interaction.Additionally, I collaborated closely with the team to orchestrate the redesign of the content management system.
